Do or Don’t? Mother/Daughter Clothes Swap

November 16th // 1 Comment

There have been plenty of times I have seen Amber wearing something fabulous I wish I could borrow, but then I remind myself certain items are best left to thoseĀ  under age. However, if the two of you have the same size and body type there are some items you can share (think classic and elegant pieces, just styled differently). I pulled these photos of famous mother/daughter duos so you can see how the pieces they are wearing can work for both.

This beautiful and sophisticated jacket worn by Rumor Willis is a piece mom Demi Moore could also wear. It has a conservative shape with a sexy cutout – the perfect balance.

For a more casual look henley shirts, tees and hoodies can be worn by both mother and daughter. Check out Madonna and her daughter Lourdes below.

What items do you share?

Fashion Tips – Globetrotting On A Budget

April 4th // Comment Here

If traveling to an exotic location is not in the budget for you this year, take a little trip with your style! This season, spring collections have a great African influence, with beautiful beading, colorful prints, and exciting accessories–bags and shoes embellished with chunky stones, feathers, tassels- oversized hoops, and stacked bangles. Marc Jacobs’ spring collection was like a retreat to a visually stimulating location, and with Madonna being the face of the new ad campaign, capturing an exotic and fierce look; there is no need to go away to Africa (or any far away location) to get inspired and infuse your closet with some of these pieces. She works hard for the money

January 31st // 7 Comments

You can roam and roam but there’s no place like home! It’s nice to be back in Miami. Amber came home today from Los Angeles with Brooke Hogan (her best friend) and I was so excited to see her. She had only been gone for 4 days, but it was too long for us. We missed her so much. Then this evening we had this incredible dinner at Paulina Rubios house with Yehuda Berg. (he is the very spiritual Kabbalah teacher who married Madonna and Demi Moore) Much more than that, he is a man of knowledge and depth, and JR and I grow so much when he is around. I think he is going to come to leadership to experience the excitement of the Market America family…Paulina is coming for sure! When we came home I had noticed several things that had been sent over to me by many stores to borrow or buy for our event next week…(borrowing is great, when you have worn it out, you can send it back without any commitment, like a bad date:) Wow, the selection is overwhelming and extremely enticing. How can shopping and buying that hot new pair of almost sold out YSL shoes just brighten our day, change our mood and makes us happy? What’s the obsession…? JR and Andrew say “we understand it, but we don’t understand it.”
Mmmm…how do you explain how you feel in that fantastic dress, or that suit that makes you look taller and slimmer? Those gorgeous new RSVP cassidy eel-skin shoes that I can buy on Zappos for$69.95 and can earn 20% back…oooh I want them in every color (look-a-likes sell for over $300.00) . How about the incredible brown patent satchel at Target made by fabulous designer Loeffler Randall that only costs $49.99 but looks just like the one that she makes for the high end department stores that sells for over $600.00….Thats what I call the look for less….That feeling of getting a great deal..sometimes so good you can go broke buying them all:) But it feels soooo good…and it looks soooo good… Maybe JR won’t ever understand the obsession but that’s o.k….and with shopping this good, who needs to feel guilty….indulge…You work hard for the money.. and I don’t know about you, I like my money right where I can see it….hanging in my closet:)
