Top Three Spring Jackets For Him

April 7th // Comment Here

It’s that time of year again! When you find yourself staring with total disdain at the coat selection you’ve been cocooned in for months and want nothing more than to walk out the door in only the shirt on your back. Well, sadly it might not be warm enough for that yet where you live, but these lightweight jacket options are the perfect solution. They have just enough warmth with minimal heft. Plus, some of them are built to stand up to spring’s notoriously crazy weather.

Introducing Figs, the New Neckwear Label for Men

April 1st // 1 Comment

There are two reasons I love Figs, an indie neckwear label out of Santa Monica. The first and most obvious reason being the entire collection is just plain cool: Polka dot bow ties, classic houndstooth, and summery knit ties. But what really turned my adoration from interested to head-over-heels obsessed is the philanthropy behind it. For each tie purchased, Figs donates a uniform to an impoverished child in Kenya and Tanzania so that they can attend school.

Prices range from $125 to $140 for ties, but when you factor in the cost of a child’s uniform, this price tag seems pretty reasonable to me. Check out the whole collection here.

Lots of love,

Loren

Keep Your Body Heat In A Men’s Knit Cap

December 9th // 1 Comment

Braving the cold is a lot easier when you have on the right outerwear. I especially love the simple knit cap on men for the winter. A Hollywood favorite, it’s perfect for weekend strolls – and if it’s sleek enough, this style can handle workdays, too.

The question is whether to buy a winter hat in black, gray or navy… or a bright, jaunty color. (See U.K. designer Paul Smith) What’s your call?

Mad Men: The Fashion Label?

November 16th // 1 Comment

Rumors have been swirling that Janie Bryant, the stylist of the critically acclaimed Mad Men series—with the backing of AMC—is planning to roll out an entire fashion collection based on the 1960’s clothes worn by Don and Betty Draper on the show.

Well, it looks like the rumors are true and the first piece, a limited edition grey suit, is available at Brooks Brothers now. Critics seem skeptical about the endeavor, but I think it only makes sense. If designers like Michael Kors and Miuccia Prada are citing you as inspiration, why not launch something yourself?
