PFW: Hermès Bangles for Fall 2013

March 6th // 2 Comments

Everything about Hermès is nothing short of exquisite and elegant. This is also true for the fall 2013 collection that showed in Paris yesterday, with a simple palette of gray, camel, black, burgundy and teal spotted making its way down the runway. In the words of Vogue, “it doesn’t get more discreetly chic than that.”

As an avid Hermès collector, I was looking forward to seeing the new, beautiful bangles from the line and wanted to share. Take a closer look in the photo gallery below and let me know in the comments which Hermès bangles I should add to my collection for next season.

PFW: Hermès Bangles for Fall 2013

“She could be Parisian, she could be from London, you don’t know. I think the top of style is when you’re like, who is she, what’s her job, what’s her background. It’s about something subtle.” – Christophe Lemaire

Paris Fashion Week: Amazing Accessories at Lanvin for Fall 2013

March 2nd // 1 Comment

Alber Elbaz revealed an insanely delicious Lanvin fall 2013 collection at his standard venue École des Beaux-Arts during Paris Fashion Week and I am longing to fill my closet with every necklace, belt, brooch and bag spotted on the runway. Frothy frocks paired with an emblazoned “LOVE” belt, inscribed heavy metal chains, ladylike leather clutches and embroidered embellishments galore, the designer revealed the emotions behind the line were “happiness, health, love, cool.”

I can definitely say that these amazing Lanvin accessories make me feel all those things. So chic.

H&M Fall 2013 Debuts at Paris Fashion Week

February 28th // 5 Comments

All eyes were on Swedish fashion “house” H&M yesterday as the brand hosted it’s first runway show in eight years during Paris Fashion Week. Celebs like Ashley Olsen and Chloe Moretz attended the much-anticipated event, where guests were treated to a luxurious apartment setting, smiling models (yes, that’s Isabeli Fontana and Cara Delevingne!) and gorgeous 70′s glam pieces that I can’t wait to get my hands on for Fall 2013.

“It’s a gang of girls that’s come together and having a good time, borrowing things from their boyfriends or from their grandmothers and just mixing them together in a really nice way,” said head of design Ann-Sofie Johansson of the concept.

Gorgeous, right? The outerwear is just amazing.

While the clothes (and boots…) are fabulous, H&M showing at PFW has been a controversial topic amongst the critics. Where do you stand? Should it stay exclusive or is there room for everyone?

Spring 2013 Couture: Elie Saab

January 23rd // 1 Comment

Elie Saab kicked off the final day of couture shows in Paris with a shiny collection that we are bound to see on the red carpet during awards season. In tune with other trends we’ve seen for spring – sheer, floral applique, mid-length dresses and sparkly embroidery – Elie Saab Spring 2013 couture is traditional fare mixed with more modern details we’ve seen with other designers like capes (Tom Ford), embellished shoulders (Valentino) and medieval print (McQueen).

Which celebrities can you imagine wearing this pretty line?

Spring 2013 Couture: Atelier Versace

January 22nd // 1 Comment

While I love looking at beautiful couture pieces – they are works of art! – Atelier Versace put together a powerful and bold collection that I actually want to wear. Sexy like only Versace can be, the Spring 2013 show in Paris took a different approach than most couture runways with a focus on “glamorous daywear” and a few evening looks thrown in the mix. Check out six styles I’m currently obsessing over below.

I love that wrist cuffs are here to stay – so chic. Black and white, shimmery metallics, neon, tuxedo-style and lots of skin are key trends to take away from the line. Can you see yourself rocking anything from Atelier Versace Spring 2013 Couture?
