Like moviegoers everywhere, I adore Michael Cera – the characters he plays are always so goofy and nervous and endearing. Happily, one of Cera’s latest roles could make him a fashion icon, too. As the hero of “Youth in Revolt” Cera develops a French alter ego with a devilish sense of style… and a demonic mindset to match. You can duplicate his wardrobe with one click to Brooks Brothers or Lands’ End. (Ray-Bans, insouciant moustache and general air of sang-froid optional!)

Like Zach Galifianakis’s character in “The Hangover,” I admire everything about Bradley Cooper’s look in the movie: Not just the longer hair but his supercool, alpha-male wardrobe – courtesy of Louise Mingenbach, my favorite costume designer. Basically, you could use every one of Bradley’s scenes as a shopping list. The black suit, the chambray shirt, the slimmer pants, the Ray-Ban aviators, the hospital bracelet… Oh, whoops, not the hospital bracelet.

The classic shape reminds me of Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now, and – as we have learned this season – aviator sunglasses work with just about anything. And if they look retro, that’s just fine.
