Fall 2011 Pant Trend: the Cummerbund

Happy Friday! It’s Amber again :) I’m dying to talk with you about my favorite new pant trend because I’ve been wearing them for awhile now but know it can be intimidating. Prabal Gurung showed serious cummberbund looks on the fall runway, so I’ve lightened it up a bit and made cummerbund pants wearable for something fun, like a date or dancing with friends.

LeAnn Rimes’ Lanvin Miss Sartorial Suede Tote

Since I bring my work with me wherever I go – there is not enough time in the day to get everything done!! – I’m always on the prowl for a big, roomy tote bag. Whenever I see a photo of LeAnn Rimes with the Lanvin Miss Sartorial Suede Tote in Plum, well, I get a little bit jealous. It’s kind of beautiful, no?

It’s also $1400.

Zara to the rescue. The Zara Soft Shopper is leather instead of suede but features the same oversized shape and handles that I’m looking for. The price tag is also much more reasonable at $129.

My girl Kim Kardashian and her husband Kris Humphries were spotted out to dinner at Izakaya in West Hollywood last night and I am loving her Jahaanara Gilet Lamb Fur Vest! Kim Kardashian’s oversized Jahaanara vest retails for $1,930 at select boutiques across the world; just in case you don’t have that kind of cash for fall’s must-have fur vest trend, I’ve found Kim’s vest for less. This Hawke & Co. Faux Fur Vest from Nordstrom is only $98 and looks just like Kim’s!
