Leave it to one of my favorite mega-retailers to take the whole concept of “guest designers” and flip it on its head (again!). Instead of tapping a big-name designer for their latest accessories collaboration, Target plucked beloved-by-the-stars boutique owner Jaye Hersch. Just about every celeb in Hollywood frequents Hersch’s boutique, Hollywood Intuition, so I couldn’t be more excited—or obsessed—with the small, totally on-trend line of accessories she produced. I can picture Nicole Richie in these glasses and Jessica Szohr rocking this shoulder purse that doubles as a belt bag, right?

On a recent trip to New York, we became fixated on this little kitchen gadget when a friend made us afternoon coffee. It works in about 30 seconds and whip plain low-fat milk into satisfyingly silky foam – plus, it’s simple enough to let you tap your inner barista, even in an early-morning haze.

In Amsterdam: CitizenM
Two locations, one near the airport and one in the city center, make this mini chainlet not only one of the cities most affordable options, but also its most strategically placed. Rates start at $109 for a single room with a private bath and free wi-fi.
In London: Yotel
What technically started as a refresher stop for business travelers going through Heathrow and Gatwick airports has actually become a great option for budget-minded travelers just looking for a nap and a quick shower. For $36, you get a teensy capsule room—only 75 square feet—with a bed, shower, and workstation for four hours—each additional hour after that is $10.
In Maastricht: Qbic 
The second location of this completely self-service hotel opens later this year—the original is in Amsterdam. You check yourself in at kiosks that work just like the ones in your local airport, and use your key card to purchase everything from organic snacks to items you forgot to pack for the duration of your stay. $91 gets you a tiny capsule room with private bath and access to the fitness facilities.

Not that I needed another reason to go to the beach, but the lovely designers behind Felix Rey went ahead and gave me one anyway. Their collection for Target—all of which is shockingly under $50—is a toned-down take on Palm Beach flash with cute, graphic clutches and straw carryalls trimmed in metallic gold leather. It’s taking major restraint not to break down and get them all. Check them out for yourself.

It’s inevitable that before we can finally enjoy the spring, we must endure the stormy days that precede it. So this season, in an attempt to sidestep the rainy-day fashion blues, I’m trading in my waterproof essentials for chic-yet-functional upgrades: bright umbrellas, ruggedly-cool wellies, and possibly the slickest raincoat ever. Now, in an unexpected twist, I’m actually looking forward to the next drizzly day.
