Thailand Trip: What I Packed!

September 1st // 13 Comments

We have just arrived and are spending 10 glorious days in Thailand with our dear friends Carmelo and La La Anthony, our beautiful daughter Amber and her fiance Duane. I couldn’t be more excited for this family trip! Amber helped me put together some fabulous outfits to bring and I really want to share. Lots of chic blazers, dresses and shorts – everything is comfortable with great mix of neutrals, prints and bold colors.

I also decided to pack two different shoe options, since we all know I don’t like to stand in my heels for too long :) Especially while on vacation!

What to pack for a business trip

July 10th // Comment Here

I love to travel, although when it’s for business sometimes packing can become a bit of a challenge. You never know if you over-packed, forgot anything or simply didn’t pack enough! But it’s important to remember that whether your trip is for a company event or just a one day meeting, bring basic staples that can take your outfits from day to night in a matter of minutes. For the complete list of essentials, check out my post on lorensworld.com!

Because I have such a busy schedule, I now have my eye on a new travel companion that will fit all of the random things I throw into my purse. You never know when you might need something, right? Jeremy Scott’s LOVE Magazine Tote for Longchamp is sophisticated, stylish and the perfect size if I need a little extra room.

Traveling Light: What I Packed for Our Trip to Italy!

September 24th // 1 Comment

If you keep up with me on Twitter, then you know I’ve been traveling all across Italy this past week with JR, Amber (it was her birthday yesterday!) and Duane – it has been an unbelievable experience! We even got a private tour of the Vatican… the energy in Vatican City was amazing! Have any of you guys ever vacationed in Italy before? Which city was your favorite?

Before we left on this trip, I was frantically shopping online for last-minute items on OldNavy.com. They have a cheap $7 flat shipping rate which is super important to me because I hate when the shipping costs almost as much as the products I’m ordering! Also, Old Navy usually has a sale going on, although it gets hard to keep up with what’s happening when since it changes so often… but a discount is a discount, right? :)

I travel a lot and during  international trips I end up wearing my basics the entire time so I stocked up on a couple to cut down on laundry (plus, Old Navy sent me a gift card that I’ve meaning to use). I decided on a few button downs for JR (he lives in these) and a cozy sweater for myself:

Let’s talk pricing for a minute. This Buttoned-Collar Sweater was $25 and the Twill Pilot Shirts? A mere $15 each! We have gotten a lot of mileage out of these purchases since we arrived in Italy and I am really impressed by how soft the fabrics are.

Are you a fan of Old Navy? Why or why not?

Anyway, enjoy your Friday! I can’t wait to explore Rome a bit more today! xoxo

Lots of love,

Loren

My Favorite Luggage Essentials

November 23rd // Comment Here

With the holidays right around the corner, traveling is going to become second nature to us all. Traveling can be fun, but the planning and packing usually don’t have the same effect. Packing is always a stressful task, even worse if you don’t have luggage that fits everything you need (or think you need but probably don’t, but absolutely have to bring anyway). Here are a couple of luggage pieces that help me be neat and organized during the packing process:

Big and expandable:

DvF

Diane von Furstenberg Signature Six 29″ Expandable Rolling Suitcase, $173.95 at Shoebuy.com

Interior and exterior pockets:

Tumi

Villa Boarding Tote, $475.00 at Tumi

Packs flat and perfect for toiletries:

Vera Bradley

Hanging Organizer, Vera Bradley $28-$48.00

Safe travels, everyone, and I hope these options make your packing just a little bit easier!

Love,

Loren
