Women’s Fashion Tips – The Hottest Summer Dresses (Built to last through the Fall)

In her latest movie, “The Proposal,” Sandra Bullock plays a publishing executive with killer instincts and an equally killer wardrobe. Exhibit A: The fitted tweed sheath she wears in the final scene (see below). It’s such a timeless, utterly feminine shape, and the origami detail at the neckline and the arc of the cap sleeves fly off the style charts – so pretty and modern. I haven’t found the exact dress just yet — let me know if you have any luck in this department! Everyone loves a good buy: No wonder Bloomingdale’s has zeroed in on Yoana Baraschi as one of fashion’s hottest new talents. The gorgeous, Romanian-born Baraschi – whose former life include stints as a sculptor, fashion illustrator and creative director for Betsey Johnson – rethinks basics in a cool, artful way (Sienna Miller, Rachel Bilson and Lauren Conrad are fans.) Can’t you see yourself in these?

Drop Dead Gorgeous: Megan Fox

Leave it to Megan Fox to make a simple gown look edgy – just by adding lightweight, extra-long drop earrings. I can’t get enough of this new jewelry trend. The dangly shape elongates your neck without feeling overpowering; it also draws focus to a bare collarbone with just the right dose of sexiness. Still… wearing such a sweeping, dramatic shape requires a trick or two, which Fox demonstrates masterfully:

Keep the rest of your jewelry to an absolute minimum.
The simpler the hair, the better; a ballerina bun or chignon looks exactly right.
Pair the earrings with a clean-lined top or strapless dress — no fussy collars that might break the flow.
