The Grass is Always Greener

Taking a cue from nature’s perfect pairings, I’m excited to share with you my favorite color combinations that go with the perfect shade of summery grass green! From Kate Spade featuring grassy prints in her collections to designers like Delpozo filling his Fall 2014 runway with this gorgeous hue, it’s no doubt that now is the time to jump on the trend!

Imagine the grassy rolling hills of England as you stroll upon the famed Stonehenge. Now that’s a pretty site! Pairing a stone gray with green is a no brainer as they so seamlessly compliment each other in nature! Try playing with a leafy print accented by a stonewashed tee in deep charcoal for a nature inspired ensemble. Accenting with pieces in leather, metal, or suede will add even more depth to this environmental duo!

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet…” Now it’s no secret that lush greenery is the perfect accent to a pretty pink rose – yes? Why not celebrate such beauty by wearing these too gorgeous shades together? Choose a medium bodied pink and accent with a light blush accessory for a touch of romance! If you’re feeling positively playful, throw in some leopard print for a print that will always pull things together beautifully!

Sky Blue

Let’s not forget how beautiful a simple grassy field paired next to a vast blue sky truly is! These two hues from adjacent color families pair so beautifully as they take on different ends of the spectrum as far as saturation is concerned. Since they have varied depth, they compliment each other in a subtle way that is absolutely pleasing to the eye. Slipping into your favorite light wash jeans is the easiest way to pull off this color combo!

Deep Blue

I remember the first time I snorkeled and immersed myself into a bed of green sea kelp amongst the beautiful fish and I thought it was one of the most beautiful sites to have ever the opportunity to see! From there births my love for mixing grassy green and deep ocean blue shades together – every time I remember this moment! I love being able to mix and match these colors in my garments and accessories since they go together so perfectly!

Now you know my favorite ways to wear this green trend – how about you? Tell me your thoughts below in the comments!
